Music is one of the most magical things in this World?it is able to portray moods and scenery and comfort our hearts and mind. Some people prefer to listen to music only?without words or voices, and some prefer to listen to songs?as for me?I listen to all sorts of music?.except maybe with the exception of heavy metal, or death metal. As for techno music, I'm not into it much, sometimes?I listen to it and feel a little frustrated even?hehehe?but sometimes I do have that "craving" to listen to it?:p

Songs?the beauty of songs?lies not only in the harmonising, the choice of instruments, the arrangement or the tune?it also lies in the lyrics. Lyrics were written to give meaning to the song, the mood?to tell a story, to express a feeling. People often don't listen to the lyrics?but, if we don't have the lyrics?we might as well just have the music itself! The tune?how is the tune expressed?.through the words of course. When we say, "what's the tune to the song?" we'd answer by singing the song. Why? Because the tune is what is sung. Often, the lyrics have a deep meaning?and a lot of people?neglect to see the beauty of this.

I often sit at home?listen to a song and read the lyrics?and it is so much fun?to try and understand what they mean. English songs have a straight-forward meaning usually?whereas Cantonese and Mandarin songs are harder to understand?and I enjoy deciphering the meaning to the words. When I listen to a song that really portrays the way I feel?sometimes listening to it makes me feel better. Even when it hurts, it still helps. I would encourage anyone to read into the song from now on?because it really is most enjoyable?and lovely. :D
